1. James J. “Whitey” Bulger
Wanted for 19 counts of murder, various weapon charges and more
Second only to Osama bin Laden on the FBI’s 10 Most-Wanted List, New England’s most infamous mobster has been on the lam since 1994.
2. Michael Bresnahan
Wanted for armed burglary
In 2007, Bresnahan allegedly robbed and assaulted an elderly Winchendon woman at knifepoint.
3. Edwin R. Novas
Wanted for murder
Novas is alleged to have fired a gun into a crowded Worcester nightclub on Christmas Eve 1999, killing one man and injuring another. The 9mm weapon was apparently stolen from a nearby arms manufacturing plant by an employee who traded it for drugs.
4. Gary Alan Irving
Wanted for rape, kidnapping and unnatural acts
Irving was convicted in 1978 on three separate counts of rape, kidnapping and unnatural acts. He was allowed to go home before sentencing and never returned to Norfolk Superior Court.
5. Henry Valerio
Wanted for rape of a child, assault to rape, and indecent assault and battery
In 1990, a Worcester jury found Valerio guilty of repeatedly raping a 13-year-old child. Out on $25,000 bail, he fled the area before sentencing.
6. Henry Gonzalez
Wanted for rape of a child with force, indecent assault and battery on a child, and kidnapping
The former special needs bus driver was arrested in 1998 on charges of raping a 13-year-old Saugus girl he was assigned to transport. Gonzalez defaulted on his court appearance.
7. Joey Camacho
Wanted for murder
Camacho is said to have murdered an individual from whom he was trying to collect a debt in 2005. Shots were fired from a moving vehicle in Holyoke. Camacho fled the scene of the crime and was never captured.
8. Joslyn A. Bailey
Wanted for murder
Investigators believe that Bailey murdered a man in 1995, then bound and wrapped up the body and disposed of it behind Milton’s Town Hall. Bailey has since eluded capture.
9. Arnold D. Gabbidon
Wanted for mayhem, armed assault with intent to kill, stalking, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
Gabbidon is wanted by the Cambridge Police Department for a 1994 incident in which he allegedly stabbed a woman and slashed her throat. Investigators call it a “miracle” that the victim survived. A long-running domestic dispute is believed to have been the motive.
