Local police chief indicted after Uzi death of boy - The longtime police chief of a small Western Massachusetts town was one of three people indicted today on involuntary manslaughter charges for the death of an 8-year-old boy who fatally shot himself with a machine gun at a weapons exposition in Westfield. Connolly yells at prosecutor; Judge postpones sentencing - A Florida judge postponed the sentencing today of former FBI agent John J. Connolly Jr. after the defense argued that his second-degree murder conviction should be thrown out because the statute of limitations expired years ago on the 1982 slaying. (Boston Globe)
